June 27, 2017 (San Diego) - Though they didn’t get the sweep, the Padres had a very good series against the Tigers.  Now it was back to National League play with a fellow bottom-of-the-barrel team, the Atlanta Braves.  The last time the Padres faced the Braves, the Braves christened their new stadium with a four-game sweep of America’s most dismal baseball team.  But tonight, the Braves were in San Diego and rookie Sean Newcomb started for them against Jhoulys Chacin.
